The Reef was opened in 2002, under the direct ownership of the Usinas. Since that time the restaurant has worked hard to produce fine food and beverages, professionally served, all accompanied by unsurpassed views of the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. It has steadily built a reputation as one of the most popular dining destinations in St. Augustine. The Reef is on scenic A1A North, just north of Vilano Beach, between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra.
Just had a lovely dinner at The Reef! Of course the view is the best but the food was also wonderful. I had the fried shrimp while my husband dined on the crab cakes. We both chose the luncheon portion for our evening meal which was generous. I enjoyed the lightly battered and fried shrimp with green beans almondine with a compliment of cheese grits. It was great! I must not fail to mention the freshly baked sunflower bread with maple glaze. What a delightful evening by the sea. I look forward to going back!
